Clubs & Classes

 

Kids Club – Kids Club is finished until the fall.  Watch the newsletter in August for announcement of when Kids Club will resume.

 

Please don’t miss the 4-H Fashion Review being held Monday June 23rd at the County Fair Community Building at 6:00 p.m.  Beth and her helpers worked with eighteen young ladies preparing their garments and projects for these years’ entries in the Jennings County Fair 4-H Fair.

 

We are so proud of Beth, her helpers Marcy Lancaster, Judy Maupin and Connie Gatkie for the work they are doing with our youth.  These young girls have done a fabulous job on their projects and we couldn’t be more excited about the future of these young ladies.  They are fabulous!

 

The Janome Embroidery Club will feature Customizer Review Session II.   The day session will meet on Thursday, July 10th, from 1:00-3:00pm.   This class uses the new Customizer DVD featuring an on-line workbook similar to your user’s manual.  Pre-registration, signup and purchase of the DVD is required.   

 

The “TUESDAY SAMPLER” club started in May.  We have chosen Aunt Grace’s 2008 collection for our 2008 sampler club.  A portion of the quilt is on display in the shop in the classroom area.  There are a few openings left so, if you are interested, stop by and sign up for this fun sampler!  Pre-registration and signup are required. 

 

The second Beginning Quilting class started on June 5th and the class is having a wonderful time!

 

P.M.S. Friday – The next “pizza, munchies and sewing” session will be on Friday night, July 25th, 2008, beginning at 5:30 p.m.  Pre-registration and signup are required. 

 

There will not be a PMS session in June.   The June Shop Hop will be in full swing and all our time and energy will be required for that.  

 

 

Thimbleberries Club – The next meeting will be Saturday, July 12th, starting at 9 a.m. and Monday evening, July 14th at 5:30 p.m.  Remember to bring show and tell.  Show and tell is one of our favorite parts of Thimbleberries.  It is always fun to see what you all are working on. 

 

If you are interested in being part of our Thimbleberries Club, you can sign up anytime, all year long.  We are also accepting signups for the 2008 quilt and quarterly projects!  If you are interested in the quilt or any of the projects, please let us know right away.  We have samples of the four quarterly projects on display.

 

We have grouped all the Thimbleberries fat quarters, charm squares and jelly rolls together in one location.  We have pre-cut 2 ½” strips and charm squares of Thimbleberries fabrics for use in your projects.  These are located in a display on the left as you go into the classroom.

 

The 2008 Marti Michell block of the month will begin in July.  The fabrics that will be used in the quilt are on display in the classroom and they are gorgeous!  Stop by and look at them soon.  If you want to participate in the 2008 BOM, you need to register right away.  The deadline for signing up for this year’s quilt is Friday, June 27th.   Pre-registration and signup are required.

 

Sue Mull will be teaching a quilt class on the “Dutch Windmill” quilt.  Some of you may know the pattern as “Hearts and Gizzards”.  Whichever name you use, it is a gorgeous quilt and a sample is on display in the front of the store.  This class will be a two-session class.  The first session will be on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. The second session will be Wednesday, August 20th, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.  Pre-registration and signup are required.

 

 

 

MARK YOUR CALENDAR

 

June 21-28th will be our second shop hop.  It is the Southern Indiana Shop Hop “Sunflower Summer”.   Passports are on sale now.  There are 10 shops participating.  There will be refreshments, door prizes and grand prizes.  Our gift basket is on display in the shop as well as our version of this hop’s quilt – it is gorgeous!!!!

 

Be sure to block out these days on your calendar so you won’t miss any of the fun!

 

Winding Waters Quilt Guild is putting on a quilt show at Stream Cliff Farm.  This show will be on July 12th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Remember to have your fabric cards punched at the time of each purchase of regular price yardage.  When the card is filled, you receive a $25 gift certificate towards any purchase in the shop.

 

Birthday Club:  Take advantage of our Birthday club and get a one-time discount on pattern, books, notions and fabric anytime during the month of your birthday.

 

Cancellation Policy – We require that you give a five (5) day notice when canceling a class.  If you must cancel a class and give us the required notice, an in-store credit will be given.  No credits will be issued for no-shows or anyone failing to give the appropriate notice.  If we cancel a class, we will give you an in-store credit or a refund.  There is a minimum and maximum class size.   Be sure to sign up early for the class you are interested so as to guarantee a spot for yourself.

 

Don’t forget to check out our Fabric Sale table – all fabrics 30% off.  (1-yard minimum cuts.)  We have added lots of new fabrics to the sale table!  Be sure and check these out – they are disappearing quickly!  We also have a selection of books and patterns on sale for 40% off (prices already marked).
