Sharynn's Quilt Box

2/27/2015 What's New at Sharynn's Quilt Box

Newsletter February 2015

What about all this snow? I thought we had dodged the bullet on the bad weather as winter started out so docile this year. Darrell and I had just been discussing how fortunate we had been with the nice weather we had been enjoying. Wow, did I ever speak too soon! I hope each of you and your families are safe and warm in you homes during this cold, snowy week we are having. Spring cannot come too some for us.

Needless to say, things have been slow this week here at Sharynn’s Quilt Box! I must say though, we have been making the most of this down time – all of us have been busy as little bees stitching up projects and playing in the beautiful new fabrics that have been arriving in-spite of the bad weather.

Also, we are working on projects for our upcoming Charming Shop Hop. Once again this year we are using Batik Charms for our quilt. Gail has been busy cutting and packing our charm in preparation for the Hop, while Cathy is stitching up one of our projects. We are excited as the colors for this year’s quilts are absolutely beautiful. I think everyone will love them.

The dates for this years “Charming Shop Hop” are March 25 through March 28th. Passports are now on sale for $5.00. Be sure to sign up early, the first 250 to sign up will receive one of the coveted 2015 charms.

We have a very busy show schedule lined up this year, it is going to be so much fun.  I hope you will be able to attend all or at least part of these very enjoyable venues.

Unfortunately we are unable to hold our November 2015 retreat this year. Circumstances beyond our control have occurred to prevent our annual event. Therefore, we requested additional room for April in the event you would want to come at this time of year. We really regret this situation.

This club meets the second Tuesday of each month from 1:30 – 3:30 pm.
