Greetings from Sharynn’s Quilt Box—April 2016 Newsletter
WHEE!!! We all made it through the Charming Shop Hop! Hope that all of you who participated enjoyed it. We loved seeing all our “old” friends and making new ones. It was a huge success again this year. Over all 407 passports were sold. That is awesome!
Everyone seemed to enjoy all the stores and expressed excitement over all the stores samples that were made from the great selection of charms that were exchanged by the shops.
The winner of the 3160QDC Janome machine was Maryloretta Resing of Independence, Ky!! Congratulations to Maryloretta!
Paula Martin of Houston, TX won the 80 fat quarters. Our store gift basket was won by Rosemary W. Wormald.

CLASSES & CLUBS
April 16, 2016 – Janet Gagneur will again be teaching the Free Motion Class. This class is from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. To schedule just call the shop or come in to sign up. Class fee is $30.00
May 7, 2016 – Janet Gagneur will be teaching the Dresden Bloom Technique for Raw Edge Applique. You will make a block while learning the technique. Class fee is $35.00.
August 23, 2016 – Janet Gagneur, Raw Edge Applique class 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Class fee is $35.00. Skill level is intermediate.
Janet will again teach this class on August 27th.
September 17th Janet Gagneur will teach Hand Embroidery. We will have more information on this class at a later date. Watch the newsletter.
Gail’s Serger Club – First Tuesday of each month 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cathy’s Project of the month – Second Tuesday of each month – 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. This month will be a 14” “Keepsake Pillow”.
Sharynn’s BOM class meets on the third Thursday of each month. We are making Jan Douglas’ Moonlight Serenade. Classes have already started but if you are interested, you can still join in the fun. This is a beautiful Queen size quilt in Blues and Creams.
4-H group meets here on Wednesdays at 3 p.m. to work on their sewing projects. (Scheduled dates are from now until May 11, 2016).
Second Saturday of each month Sharynn’s Stitching Friends meet in the classroom from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and join.

21st Annual Bits & Pieces Quilt Show sponsored by the Jefferson County Extension Homemakers. The show is held at the Jefferson Co. Fairgrounds on SR 256 – West of 62. Admission is $5.00 There will be quilt supply vendors and door prizes.

NEW FABRICS
New fabrics are coming in all the time but we need more space so we are adding fabric to our sale racks every day. Be sure to come in and check out these new fabrics and what’s on sale!!
We have some beautiful new flannels in blues, yellows, and aquas. Some are children’s prints. They will make beautiful blankets!
