The kids are back in school and that means that we have some time to ourselves! Not a lot but some that we can squeeze in a bit of sewing. We still have some of our SPECIALS going on so come in to check them out!

Calling all quilters……the 8th Annual ACCUQUILT Quilt Block Design Contest begins August 1st. Design a quilt block using the ACCUQUILT GO! CUTTER dies of your choice. Voting will be August 23 – September 5th. Winners will be announced on September 15th. Over $15,000.00 will be awarded. For more infor go to www.accuquilt.com/contest. SAVE THE DATE: September 16th. We will be participating in NATIONAL JELLY ROLL DAY!! If you are a quilter, you collect fabric! Right? We all do! We call it our Stash! And we love it! You may also be a collector of the pre-cuts. These are those tempting packages of many pieces of fabric already cut for you and ready to sew into your favorite quilt, table runner, wall hanging, etc. We call them Layer Cakes, Dessert Rolls, Honey Buns, and Jelly Rolls. We buy them thinking that we’ll make something special but they linger in our stash.
This is where Project Jelly Roll comes in. We here at Sharynn’s are participating in this project. Mark this date on your calendar and join us for a day of sewing. You don’t have to stay all day but we will begin at 10 a.m. and you can sew until 2:30. Lunch will be on your own. We will have some “treats” and maybe a surprise or two! But we need a “head count” so that we have enough tables, electrical outlets, etc. for everyone. So please call the store as soon as you can to reserve your spot. We already have several signed up! Don’t miss out on this fun day!
