It’s almost school time here in Indiana! Hard to believe that it is August! Our kids and grandkids will be heading back to the classroom in a very short time. Savor these last few days with yours. Plan something special….make memories.
August will be a busy month here at Sharynn’s with classes, clubs, and Handi-Quilter Longarm classes. Be sure to mark your calendar for these events. You don’t want to miss out.
August 8th – Embroidery Class – 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Items needed for first class:
1) at least a 5x7 hoop
2) white, black, light pink, and tan embroidery thread
3) embroidery scissors and white embroidery bobbin thread
4) tear-away stabilizer (a piece larger than 5x7)
5) water-soluble pen and tape
6) a new needle might also be helpful

August 11th – Sharynn’s Stitching Friends – 9 a.m. here at the shop
August 15th – Preview night with Diane Henry & Darrell – 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event is free and refreshments will be served but reservations are needed.
August 16th thru August 18th – Handi-Quilter classes with Diane Henry. Check website for more details. These classes all begin at 9 a.m., break at 12noon and resume at 1 p.m. and end at 4 p.m. A notebook and pen might be helpful.
There are just a few spots left for these classes so please call now to save your spot.
August 29th – Sit ‘n’ Sew – 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (free)
We will be forming an ACCUQUILT Club in September for all owners. This club will teach you different techniques for using the cutters. We will be making blocks using the Accuquilt GO! Cutter. More information closer to time.
We are still receiving Christmas and Holiday fabrics. So many projects and so many different fabrics to choose from!!
Are you thinking about a new sewing machine for Christmas….come see us as we carry Janome machines and Handi-Quilter Longarm machines? We have light weight Janome machines and we carry the embroidery machines (MC15000, E500, and S9). If you’re looking for something to take to classes and retreats we have the Janome 3160QDC, M7200, & the Anna Marie Horner Limited Edition M100 and the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation Edition machines. AND Darrell services what we sell here in our shop. Turn around on machine repair is usually 1-2 days. So be sure to check us out first.
If you are in the market for a longarm, talk to Darrell. He will come to your house and set the machine up and teach you how to use it. You don’t get this kind of service everywhere. Talk to us first!
