I always heard that the “dog days of summer” were in August. But it’s still July and I think that we are already there! And it’s getting close to school starting again. Just a few more weeks of summer break and they will be heading back to their schools. There is lots of summer weather left though. And plenty of time to work on Holiday décor for your house. We have lots of different fabrics for those projects.
Don’t forget about the Panel Sale—25% a select group of panels. These panels make great quilts for kids, throws, wall hangings, and table runners. Most of the panels have matching fabrics. And we can help you mix and match fabrics. Maybe a throw for your college bound teen or a friend. We’ve got plenty of them.
Have you given your sewing machine a break this summer? If so, (and even if not) it might be time to bring it in for service. If it is a Janome Embroidery machine, please bring a small hoop with fabric, stabilizer and thread that you like to use so that Darrell can test it. We do not need all the feet. Please leave them at home so they don’t “go missing”! A sewing machine needs to be serviced every year to year and a half depending on usage. We service all Janomes. There is no need to make an appointment. Please remember that we do not service Husqvarna, Viking, Bernina, Brother, Pfaff or Baby Lock. Thank you for understanding.
We have Donna Robertson’s “3 Yard Quilts” books in stock. We are sorry that the “3 Yard Christmas Quilts” book has already sold out. It is on order again and we are in hopes that it will be in soon. These books give you quick and easy ways to make a twin or throw size quilt that can also be made as a queen/king size. The patterns in these books are simple and easy to make. Great for beginners all the way to experienced.
We will be resuming Sit ‘n’ Sew in August. But as of now, no specific date is set. Thanks for your patience.
