We want to thank the gals who came to our Cabin Fever Retreat. It was so much fun and we enjoyed having you all. We appreciate you! Watch for pictures on our Facebook page. We will be having another in shop retreat in September.
This Saturday, February 11th at 9 a.m. we will have Sharynn’s Stitching Friends here in our classroom. We will have refreshments and show ‘n’ tell. Not a member? No problem….just come and pay the $15.00 yearly dues and join in the fun.
We received a beautiful thank you letter from Mercy Rescue & Adoption for our donation from all the scrap bags you ladies bought! You have helped a cat named Binx who has been hospitalized. Thank you so much! You can check out Binx’s picture on Facebook at Mercy Rescue & Adoption. He is very cute!
ATTENTION ALL PROSPECTIVE AND OWNERS OF HANDI-QUILTER LONGARMS:
Martha Higdon, Handi-Quilter Educator will be here in our classroom to teach classes March 30 & 31, 2023. You DO NOT need to own a longarm to take these classes.
On Thursday, March 30th, Martha will teach Exploring Pro-Stitcher in Simulation. This is an all day class and it will be 9-4. The cost for this class is $45.00 for the whole day. Lunch is from 12 to 1 and on your own.
On Friday, March 31st, Martha will teach Free Motion Quilting Foundations from 9-12 noon. From 1-4 p.m. she will teach Customizing Your Free Motion Foundations. The cost is $45.00 for the day.
More information will be forthcoming. Class size is limited.
Sharynn’s Quilt Box is an exclusive dealer for Janome Sewing Machines and for Handi-Quilter Longarm Machines. We have been a Janome dealer for 25 years. When you purchase a Janome machine, you will receive a class on all the features of that machine. We are also an authorized service center for Janome machines and Handi-Quilter. Darrell takes training every year. We have classes for longarm owners or just someone considering buying one. You don’t have to own one to take classes on the longarms.
Have you purchased a Janome machine in the last year? Machines should be serviced every year to year and a half. So be sure to get your machine serviced to prolong the life of your machine. It is important to keep them in good working order. There is no need to call for an appointment.
We still have some of our 3 yard Mystery Bags. These are coordinating fabrics and you can make a nice lap quilt, throw quilt, or even a baby quilt. They are not specific to any holiday. We have 3 Yard Quilt books too. These bags are a bargain at $25.00. That’s just a bit over $8.00/yard. Come and get yours.
The Swing Into Spring Shop Hop (formally Charming Shop Hop) will be here before you know it. There are a few new things for this shop hop. Each shop will have its own fabric color and pattern(s). We also have a new shop this year. The dates are April 5, 6, 7, & 8, 2023. The hours will be 9-5 at each shop. Each shop is using Wilmington Dry Brush. Passports will be available soon. So watch the newsletter/Facebook.
